Mercy Before Error: Exploring the Concept of Early Mercies

By Ebenezer Gabriels Worship Discipleship

The concept of "mercy" is woven into the fabric of everyday life. It often appears as the intervention that saves us from falling into error, not because we're deserving, but as an act of profound grace.

The Word of God makes references to early mercies in Psalm 90. Today, many people tend to overlook the tangible ways mercy manifests in their lives. Instead, they often attach abstract, unreachable spiritual meanings to it, while dismissing the very real and practical ways God's mercy operates.

So, how does early mercy reveal itself? It appears in moments when, before you stray into wrongdoing, you receive sound counsel, teachings, instructions. Before you waste precious time on poor decisions, you are given sound advice, wise counsel, and the tools to make better choices.

Mercy takes on countless forms, shapes, and sizes. One of its most powerful expressions is when God provides you with timely wisdom, counsel, and direction, steering you away from harm and toward a path of clarity and purpose.
