Worship and the Fear of God

By Ebenezer Gabriels Worship Discipleship

The fear of God is one of the key elements of the worshipper. Worship and the fear of God cannot be separated.  The fear of the Lord is not just reverential; it's the fear that brings trembling, and in all of that, God opens up love.

Wherever there is the fear of the Lord, everything else bows, and worship takes place. The Lord responds.

"The fear of God is a part of the worship of God that is inseparable. There is no worshipper without the fear of God. Jesus pointed to the Lord as the one to be feared. Everyone who goes far into worship reaches a major junction called the intersection of fear. The fear of God grips the worshipper as the presence of the Lord is felt in the moment of worship." Worship is expensive.

Passover is a reminder that that the Lord our God is to be feared.
